The Riftbreaker Activation Code [Patch]

Updated: Nov 27, 2020

About This Game You play the role of captain Ashley S. Nowak - you are the Riftbreaker, an elite scientist/commando inside a powerful Mecha-Suit. Enter a one-way portal to Galatea 37, a distant planet at the far reaches of the Milky Way Galaxy, with the purpose of building up a base that will allow travel back to Earth and further colonization. Ashley's Mecha-suit, which she calls "Mr. Riggs", can withstand the harshest environmental conditions and has a full range of equipment for base construction, resource extraction, gathering specimens and of course - combat. It is capable of traveling through rifts that connect space across vast distances.BASE BUILDINGYour task is to construct a two-way rift back to Earth. It is a very complex invention and requires enormous amounts of energy. Simple solar collectors and a few tons of steel will not be enough. You will need to build up a complex chain of mines, refineries, powerplants and research facilities to complete this mission.EXPLORATIONGalatea 37 is an unknown planet in the Sycorax belt of the Milky Way galaxy. Long distance surveys detected that it is inhabitable and perfect for colonization. The planet is full of rare minerals and substances that can be found in various locations around the globe. Varied biomes can surprise you with unknown fauna and flora as well as harsh weather conditions. Construct local outposts in resource-rich locations that will transport the required resources using rift technology.DEFENSEYour presence on this planet will not go unnoticed. As you build up your industry and disrupt the natural order, the world will start seeing you as a threat. Build up your defenses. Construct walls, barriers and defense towers as the attacks get stronger with every passing day. You will face thousands of hostile creatures trying to eliminate your presence.HACK, SLASH, SHOOTMr. Riggs can be equipped with powerful weapons and abilities that will allow you to take on the largest of beasts. You will need to be ready to face lots of hostile alien creatures as you scout the planet.GATHER SAMPLES AND STRANGE ARTIFACTSFallen beasts will drop valuable research specimens as well as rare resources. Use everything that you can gather to research and craft new technologies, buildings, weapons, and equipment. You can also scout the terrain using your sensors and dig for treasure buried underground.RESEARCHUse the samples that you've gathered to research new technologies that will help you build up your base, improve your defenses, develop new blueprints for your Mecha-suit or improve existing technologies.CRAFTMr. Riggs is fully customizable and upgradeable. Use the blueprints that you've researched to craft new parts and weapons. Utilizing better materials for the crafting process results in developing gear with improved properties. Each crafted item has unique properties.INTERACTIVE STREAMINGThe Riftbreaker™ has built-in integration with the most popular streaming services out there. The stream's audience can actively participate in the game through multiple options, e.g. by voting to send waves of new enemies, spawn environmental disasters like a tornado or by donating resources.THE SCHMETTERLING ENGINEThis game is built using the latest iteration of EXOR Studio's in-house developed Schmetterling 2.0 engine which was previously used to create X-Morph: Defense and Zombie Driver. If you use a gamepad, the left and right stick will control walking in a given direction and turning the body, respectively. If you don’t use a gamepad, keyboard moves the character and the mouse aims. There are no artificial constraints to your movements, and you can run around pretty much anywhere you like. Moving in combat, however, is quite tricky. That is why we give you a tool to help get around more quickly and to further increase your freedom. The Mecha-Suit is able to dash in any direction almost instantly. It is considered as a reusable skill, meaning the number of uses is unlimited, but there is a short cooldown for this ability. The dash can either help you get to a group of enemies quickly so that you can dispose of them with your melee weapons, or jump away to safety. Additionally, you can utilize your melee attacks in conjunction with the dash. Some of the smaller creatures will not be able to withstand such a devastating attack. Some players do not like it when the controls are being taken away from them, even if it’s for the duration of a special move. In order to meet their expectations, you are still able to control Mr. Riggs to a slightly limited extent during the dash. If you carry out a melee attack during flight, you can not only slice and dice through your enemies, but also change your direction. This way you can still find your way around the battlefield, even in the toughest scenarios. The main mode of getting around the map and your base quickly are the rift jumps, but sometimes the danger will come from an unexpected side. A quick set of dashes will help you get there and get the situation under control. It is another tool in Mr. Riggs’ arsenal that we expect should come in handy more often than you think. We can’t wait to let you try it out. Oh, and you can also see an early version of our loot system in action on the video. It’s still work in progress, so let’s just pretend it’s not there ;)Until the next time,EXOR Studioswww.discord.gg/exorstudioswww.facebook.com/exorstudioswww.twitter.com/exorstudioswww.twitch.tv/exorstudioswww.mixer.com/exor_studios. Day and Night cycle in The Riftbreaker: The mission destination should be scanned by qualified staff before attempting a Rift jump. Apart from measuring the contents of the atmosphere and surface temperature, it is of utmost importance to gain knowledge about the planet’s rotation. Determining the length of the day cycle will provide the Riftbreaker invaluable information as to whether or not they will have the time to set up a field base before dark. This is especially significant on inhabited planets, as nocturnal creatures often display aggressive traits. If one of the Riftbreakers finds themselves stranded in the dark, seek immediate shelter. The Mecha-suit’s lights may attract unwanted attention. The Riftbreakers' Handbook, vol. 6One of the features of our new Schmetterling 2.0 game engine is the day and night cycle. It is an upgrade we are very excited about, as it gives us more tools to build the game’s atmosphere and mechanics. We want the nights on Galatea 37 to be truly intense, with lights reflecting from animals’ eyes in the dark and unidentified sounds in the distance, making you want to curl up in your base and go out only when necessary. Such a cycle will also allow us to bring the whole world to life - some creatures will be impossible to find during the day, while others will hide during the night. Also, don’t forget that solar panels will not work during the night! Be ready, the night is dark and full of terrors!Oh, and here is the hi-res version of the GIF:https://gfycat.com/pl/flusteredtediouscrocodileEXOR Studios. We watched Avatar too many times...: Hi-Res: https://gfycat.com/pl/presentrepentantdoveSince X-Morph: Defense we have done a lot of work to add multiple new features to our game engine, The Schmetterling. In fact, the toolset has changed so much we decided to dub it The Schmetterling 2.0. New rendering, shading and lighting systems allow us to make the world of The Riftbreaker feel much more alive than anything you’ve seen us do in the past. You can see a fine example of this in the video above. A plants look can change based on multiple outside factors - the time of day, being touched by something or based on weather conditions. We control these features using small script components called “affectors”. As the name implies they affect a certain parameter based on the input that they receive. In the instance of a fluorescent plant we affect the plant’s shader’s glow parameter based on player proximity. We can set that condition to be essentially anything, so sky is the limit in this case. What that means is we can make plants react to Mr. Riggs and the animals by hiding underground, illuminating, extending spikes, or exploding altogether. The best part is that we can accomplish this with high efficiency, so we can modify entire fields of grass not just a single object on the scene, and we can do that with relatively little effort. What other interesting features of Galatea’s plant life would you like us to modify? Or maybe we should try this trick on some animals? Why don’t you join our Discord server! Unlimited Power!: The Rift Technology is incredible. It can send almost anything across any distance at an instant, opening up paths that were previously inaccessible for humans. There is one limitation that keeps us from conquering the whole universe - it is impossible to transport electric energy without storing it first. That is why it is a priority for every Riftbreaker to establish a robust energy network as soon as possible after arriving to a new world.Luckily, it is not as difficult as it sounds. The first thing you will need is a generator. They can vary in type, output, and size, but more on that later. After you’ve got your generator up and running, use the energy connectors to start powering the buildings up. Connectors are very simple to use. Place one near a building and it will automatically extend connection cables to it. The connector will also detect any new compatible structures in its vicinity and connect them to the network as well. Once the energy connectors are in place and enough power is brought into the network, the buildings will start their operations. Note that adjacent buildings do not require a connector to make energy transfer possible. There are multiple energy sources you can utilize. The one that is right for your base will mostly be determined by what you can access with the most ease. You should not try to make use of everything you find at once, as it will be highly inefficient and waste a lot of your much limited resources. However, once you are ready to complete your mission that will change. Producing and storing as much energy as possible will be necessary to power a rift back home. Make use of carbon. It is present in some form on almost every planet that supports life. If there is life, there must also be death, decay and their byproducts. Check if decomposing animals and plants produce flammable gases. Scan the geodetic structure of the planet. You might be able to utilize geothermal processes or tectonic movements to power your equipment. If there is access to radioactive isotopes on the planet, do not hesitate and build a nuclear power plant. Once you have your power needs covered, build a fusion reactor. Note that it is possible to utilize renewable energy sources, however they are usually less efficient. This might be the future, but swords still rock!: I can’t think of any better way to start off a day than by repelling a horde of rabid alien dogs trying to breach my base’s perimeter. I don’t really know what made them so mad at me this time, but I am glad that Mr. Riggs has that big old blade attached. A couple of swings, some help from the towers we set up earlier and we’re done. The blade seems to be very effective against everything we’ve come up against so far. Upgrading it with the energetic resonator was a really good idea. It cuts through almost anything - whether it’s a monster trying to have me and Riggs for dinner, or a tree. And the best part? The metal the blade is made of is so strong there’s not even a dent on it. If only I didn’t have to get up close and personal to all the critters trying to ruin my day I would be much more confident here. That’s it for now, I have a lot of work to do today. We might have found an alternative power source…- Captain Ashley S. Nowak - personal logThe blade you can see in the GIF and on our main art is just one of a few melee weapons you can use while playing The Riftbreaker. It’s quite strong, but the necessity of getting close to your enemies is a significant drawback. This weapon does not require any ammunition to use, so you will always have a viable plan B when you run out of bullets in your long range weapon. You don’t want to explore Galatea 37 defenseless.Higher resolution: https://gfycat.com/pl/nervousunrulyamericanredsquirrelEnlist now! The Rift Technology: The gas power plant project has turned out to be a success. The main base is operational and it turns out that it makes enough electricity to power all the buildings in the area and then some. I’ve dismantled all of the base’s solar panels. We will find a use for them elsewhere. I have to start thinking about building a second outpost, preferably somewhere near another sludge deposit. If I can set up a network of Gas Power Plants I can start storing the excess energy to eventually power up the portal back to Earth. Maintenance shouldn’t be a problem, either - I will simply place rift portals at all our outposts, making distance a non-issue. I am amazed by this tech every time I make a jump - no matter how far I am, or how deep in trouble I am, the HQ is just milliseconds away. - Captain Ashley S. Nowak - personal logThe idea behind the rift technology is to give our players an uninhibited ability to jump between distant places in the game world. It acts like a fast travel system, but it is entirely up to you where you set up the rift portals you can jump to. This gives you the chance to protect your outposts even when you’re away on a mission, miles away. We hope you will make good use of the power this gives you.Higher resolution GIF: https://gfycat.com/pl/frenchperkycraneflyExtended vid: https://youtu.be/R8-X_laE1vcWe would love to have you with us on our Discord server! www.discord.gg/exorstudiosOther social media:www.facebook.com/exorstudioswww.twitter.com/exorstudioswww.mixer.com/exor_studioswww.instagram.com/exor_studios
